Review
allows you to play Klondike on your Android just in the same way you would with a regular pack of cards, and is very similar to the Windows version that came on computers.
Free to download from Google Play, you can customise gameplay by adjusting various settings. For example, you can change the background colour of the screen, and choose from varying scoring modes. These include classic, Vegas, or no scoring.
In classic mode, you start with a score of zero, and gain points by adding cards to the suit. Points are also determined by how long it takes you to have each turn. In Vegas mode, you start with a score of fifty, and have to have more than that by the end of the game to win.
The app fails to tell you beforehand that you must be connected to the internet to save your high scores. You need to sign in, then send your score to the online leaderboard. I tried to do this after playing, but it did not work, and my score was lost.
You can choose to play by standard rules, which requires drawing three cards at a time, or novice mode, where you draw one card at a time.
would be an excellent app game if it wasn't for a recurring glitch. Sometime when you reach the end of the pack of cards, it won't restack, so you cannot continue to play. This does not happen all the time, but it is frustrating when it does. Since Google games are constantly updated, hopefully this bug will be fixed in the next update.
