I'm not keen on golf in real life, for the simple reason that I can't even hit the damn ball off the tee. Playing virtually, however, it a whole other matter.

The video games I have played in the past have always been versions of crazy golf, and part of a mini game, but with Let's Golf! 3 I had a chance to play a proper full length game.

When starting the game for the first time, you get to choose the kind of player you want to be, with each player having different skills. For example, you can start off with either improved power, accuracy, recovery, or putting ability. As you progress through the game, you will be able to increase each of these skills by unlocking various outfits and equipment.

In the tutorial, you'll practice with a generic character, but you will then be able to create your own avatar, making them look like you, or anyway you want them to appear.

There are lots of options to help you get the best shot; choose your club, stance, angle, power, curve, etc. You can also view the scene from different angles to give you the best eye line.



The 3D environments look stunning. Start playing in the Fiji Islands, then unlock locations all over the world, such as Japan, Ireland, France, and the Swiss Alps.

Bored playing by yourself? Get a friend to join you in a 'pass-and-play' mode, or compete with up to four friends online. There are also tournaments you can enter, to try a beat the top score for prizes.

Let's Golf! is easy to pick up and play, and just as easy to put down at any point, because you can play holes individually rather than having to complete a full nine of eighteen holes in one go. The only down side with this is that you have to unlock each hole, and cannot move on until having reached par or less on the previous level.
