Dominoes for the Android may be the same as the classic physical tile game, but just about squeezes every ounce of fun out of it.
What makes Dominoes fun is the playing against other people; without that aspect, there really isn't much point in playing. That's exactly what we have here. Considering all the tablet games that get you playing with other people online or in an off line 'pass n' play' mode, I'm quite frankly dumbfounded that this version does not offer either of these options. It is just you against three computer players.
There are no different difficulty modes either, so the computer always gets better tiles than you do. With the option of six, twelve, or twenty-four rounds to game, even the minimal number gets tedious. What's worse is that if all the players pass, instead of ending the game and counting tiles to see who wins, the game freezes.
There are two modes you can play. Straight Six is a classic game of dominoes, but there is also a version that hides all the played tiles apart from the two end numbers. This means you have to remember which tiles were previously played to determine how many are left of each number. Pretty pointless considering that most of the time you only have one playable domino anyway.
This game is not worth playing, so don't waste your memory downloading it.
