Rayman is back once again to save the world from evil as he swings back into rapid 2D side-scrolling action.



Incrediballs are cute dragon-like balls of fluff that sustain a sacred tree, but pirates have stolen all the eggs and so the tree is dying. It is up to you to rescue them.



Rayman Adventures is available on Android and iOS. There are in-app purchases available, but the game is free to download, and you can play with relative ease without having to spend any money.



The controls are pretty straight forward (swipe to run, tap to jump, swipe again to attack), but the speed at which the characters move can make it tricky to perform these actions at the right time or to perform them at the same time. It is not a problem in the early levels, but as you get further through the game, mastering the controls definitely becomes more difficult.



Aside from Rayman, there are three other characters you can choose from, each of which has their own wardrobe of unlockable costumes. There are lots of other unlockable features as well, such as the mini game Make Music. Once you collect five Incrediballs, you can set up a band, care for them, play with them, and make music together.



The Incrediballs come in handy in the main game as well. You can take up to three with you on your adventures, and they will help you collect items or protect you from enemies. Each level has a different goal, such as save the Teensies, collect Lums, or defeat all your enemies.



Once you reach the end of a level, your total is tallied up, and you get a three star rating and prizes, based on how well you did.



There are a certain number of levels you have to complete before rescuing an egg, after which, you can hatch it. Hatching an egg takes time, but you can speed things up by buying elixirs.



The only real downfall with the game is that once you leave one world to travel to another, you cannot return to play those levels.You are warned before leaving, but it would still be nice to be able to go back, even if you have got full marks for them.



Rayman Adventures is a single player game, but you can interact with friends by connecting to Facebook. Here you can compete for top scores, or send each other gifts to help get through levels.
