Racing Penguin is a cute physics-based side scroller in which you have to slide down slopes and fly - or rather fall with style since penguins can't fly - in order to get rid of a polar bear that is chasing you.
When the penguin is at the top of a slope, you drag your finger across the screen so that he slides down. This allows him to gain momentum for the upward climb and soar into the air. Touch the screen again at the right moment so that the penguin lands at the top of a slope for another slide. If you land at the bottom, then he has a slow climb up and the bear gains on you.
You can get boosts by collecting fish that are dotted around, and also unlock costumes that will help you along.
Although the concept is simple, it is quite tricky, and takes a few practice rounds to get the hang of it.
Once you do complete a level, you will be given a star rating based on how quickly you escaped. There are a total of three worlds to play in, each with eight levels.
The only thing I was really disappointed in is how the bear is presented. You don't actually see him on screen, but just get a little icon showing how close he is. Even if the bear is right on top of you, he makes no appearance . I think this diminishes the immediacy and excitement of the chase.
