Review Hangman is something of a cross between an English lesson and a scene from Horrible Histories. For some reason we have always taken great pleasure in watching that poor little stick man get noosed.
In this free to download game, you can enjoy all that sadistic fun once again, with fun chalk board graphics and animation that takes you back to the class room.
You can either play against the computer or another person. If you choose a two player game then you get to pick your own words for your opponent to guess.
If you choose a one player game, then you get to choose a theme from which the computer will generate a word. The themes include animals, holidays, food, SAT, and TOEFL, as well as easy, standard, and hard.
This is where my one criticism would be. I think the difficulty level should be separate from the themes i.e. you should be able to choose to play the animal theme on easy level or the holiday on hard.
There are no set amount of rounds, so you can just keep playing until you get tired or have to stop. There is no high score records or save option, mainly because the rounds are short, and there is not much point keeping a tally of how many games you won against the computer.
It is a simple game, but if it were made complicated, then it would lose its charm.
