When I saw Guess The 90s on Google Play, I couldn't wait to put my knowledge to the test with a bit of trivia on my favourite decade. On my first attempt to play it, however, I discovered that you need an internet connection, so it is no on the go, unless you have 3G.
Once connected, you get shown a picture related to the 1990s, and you have to say what it is. It was great to see childhood favourites such as pogs and silly putty; it's a comfort to know I am not the only one who gets giddy about these delights from the past.
If you are a true 90s buff, then you won't have any trouble; the problem comes when you don't know the answer. If you're stuck, you are not allowed to skip the question, and the only way to move on is by getting a clue.
Your first option is to ask one of your Facebook friends, but I'm sure you are all aware of how annoying it is to receive constant game invites when you don't play. For that reason, I never use this feature.
That leaves you with requesting a hint from the computer. But that will cost you. You start off with about 35 coins, but it costs you 15 to expose letters, and 30 for the answer. If you get stuck a second time, then you need to buy more coins or wait until you build up enough through daily log ins. If you keep having to stop and start, it does detract from the overall pleasure, and having to spend money is a put off.
