Relive your days at the arcade in the comfort of your own home, as you play a classic game of Tetris on your tablet.
Platform: Android tablet
Players: 1 player
Age: Any Age
Game Time: 2 - 15 minutes
Developer or Designer: Alexey Pajitnov
is a puzzle game designed by the Russian programmer, Alexey Pajitnov in 1984. It is bsed on the mathematical use of tetromino tiles, which fall from the sky. The aim is to prevent the screen being filled to the top by these geometric shapes, which you do by completing lines. Once you complete a full line, that line disappears. How long the game lasts depends on your skill of arranging the shapes so that they connect together.
You can rotate the shapes and move them left to right so that they fall where you want them to, but it is a lot harder than it sounds.
In the original arcade version, you had buttons to move the shape, but here, you tap the arrows on the bottom of the screen screen move them from side to side, or down, and tap the shape itself to rotate it.
There is only one mode on this app, with no bonus rounds or fancy versions that are usually loaded onto console versions of the game. Some people might think this boring, but if you love the original Tetris, then you will love this, and not require and special features or extras. There is also a leader board to check your high scores.
