Review

To be frank, I’m usually not a fan of modern war games; I prefer medieval, fantasy or sci-fi settings. I have always felt like realistic war games make light of real wars and of those who suffered because of those wars. Frontline Commando 2 however, does not feel like a real war game. There are two major actions in Frontline Commando 2, which are shooting your enemies and dodging their attacks. Stages are short and fast-paced which is a great way to keep player interest. This is especially good since gameplay can start to feel repetitive even though it is challenging.



Frontline Commando 2 has twelve ‘episodes’, each with their own stages and side missions. Players can level up, buy additional weapons using both in-game money and real-world money, as well as train squad members which get recruited as players progress through the game.



Each stage has three objectives, and can be played over and over again even when the objectives have been met.



What makes Frontline Commando 2 so fun is the fast-paced drop and dive routine players must undergo to dodge grenade and missile launches. The sniper scope is also a lot of fun, trying to hit enemies while compensating for scope sway.



Frontline Commando 2 is a free download on iOS and Android devices. I recommend picking it up, it’s a fun way to spend an afternoon.
