If you go online you can find a plethora of cheat codes for hundreds of different games. Entering a code can either be done from a specifically provided menu or pausing the game, and entering in a sequence of buttons. Cheat codes can unlock all kinds of things, such as levels, characters, and bonus material. They are particularly useful if you get stuck.

Do you use cheat codes? If so, when do you use them? Will it only be in situations where you get stuck, or will it be any time? What about walkthroughs? Many people write extensive guides that tell you how to progress through every step of the game.

Neither do I, but they can be easily looked up online.

I have used cheat codes in the past, but not very often. If I get stuck, I prefer to use a walkthrough guide. I'll only use them if I really cannot figure out what to do, and even then, I make sure only to read the bit which I have been able to get past. Sometimes I use cheat codes if I have completed the game, but not unlocked ll the bonus material.
