Review
Clumsy Ninja is an adventure game released for Android and iOS in 2013. Gameplay is based around training a young apprentice to become an adept Ninja so he can go on missions. For example, the first mission Clumsy Ninja will have to go on is to rescue his friend Kira, who has been kidnapped.
Training Clumsy Ninja can be a lot of fun. You get to use equipment such as trampolines, punch bags, and even balloons. As he gains more experience, Clumsy Ninja will reach higher levels, which unlocks new equipment to play with, such as footballs, basketball nets, and so on.
There also lots of costumes to unlock, the most coveted of which is a new belt. Every two levels, Clumsy Ninja will earn a new colour belt.
As the player, you don't control Clumsy Ninja, but rather prompt him, by holding objects in front of him to use. It is, however, possible to lift him up and move him around, which can be very amusing.
The graphics for the game are beautiful and crystal clear, just perfect for taking snaps. You can take photos of Clumsy Ninja in action with a camera in the corner screen or take him to a 'black screen', which you can later replace with a background of your choice, using a graphic program such as photoshop.
There are always new goals to achieve, which makes it rather addictive, because every time you are about switch off, you are given a new task and think, 'just one more'.
I do, however, think that Clumsy Ninja is somewhat of a novelty. It is really fun to begin with, but after a while, watching him fall off a trampoline for the hundredth time ceases to be funny. The developers are constantly adding new content to keep it interesting, but I think after a while, the novelty will wear off.
