Not always easy to tap the marker in a specific location
I have a fond childhood memory of scavenger hunts. While on the pursuit for buried treasure, the hider of such goodies always used to guide seekers with hints such as 'you're getting warmer' or 'you're getting colder' to indicate how close you were to discovering the sought after item.
94 Degrees is a free trivia game for iOS and Android, which applies the same technique, but instead of hunting for treasure, you have to answer questions. It is a very universal game, not only because it is available in six languages, but also because the questions are not based on specific cultures. It is great for expanding your general knowledge as you get tested in fields such as mathematics, geography, and biology. The questions are very visual, which makes the quiz much more interactive and fun to play.
To answer the questions you have to mark a certain point on the screen by tapping. The slight downfall with this is that it can be difficult to get the marker exactly where you want it, especially if you have broad fingers.
If you do not get the answer correct on your first try, a coloured marker will appear. The colours range from blue to red to indicate how close or 'warm' you are to the correct answer.
If you still need extra help, you can spend coins for more clues. There are two choices; first is a thermometer that not only shows how close you are by colour, but also adds a temperature. The second choice is a roll of the dice, which will give you multiple choices on the screen, one of which is the right answer.
As well as being a single player game, there is also a multiplayer mode. Unfortunately whenever I try to enter a two player game the app crashes. Hopefully this will be sorted out in a future update.
